CYNIK SCALD is the Cyprus based multinational heavy metal/Melodic Metal band with original lyrics and music.
With all respect to the traditional heavy metal we are making really modern and progressive sound.
Members:
1. Ivan – was born in Russia, by heart he’s Viking. Founder, lead vocalist, song-writer and composer .
2. “Death” – nobody knows his name, he is from Nevada. His addiction is freedom, bikes and music. Keyboards, harmonica, backing vocals
3. Kazuchiza - “Kaz” - from Japan –– guitar
4. Azra from Turkey – guitar
5. Jean from France - bass
Cynik Scald’s music has its own sound which can be described as an exciting mixture of heavy metal and folk songs with a pinch of industrial/power metal and flavor of Viking Metal/DeathMetalcore tunes. Their music is similar to Crematory, Mudvayne, Ghost, Alestorm, Amon Amarth and some vibes of Lamb of God and Motörhead.
Debut album Aged Spirit was released at the end of 2019. The most popular songs from it were: When the Sun Goes Down and Silent Rainbow.
Single Asgard sounds like modern viking metal. The main character of the song is today’s person living regular life, who has lost his identity and he is trying to find himself in the world. This song has heavy, mostly Death Metal/Metalcore sound, influenced by Lamb of God, Amon Amarth.
Single Storm featuring famous power heavy metal vocalist Urban Breed! Storm is a legendary pirate flagship's song about the battle against a powerful and unbridled storm. Will Queen Anne's Revenge be able to win, break through this wild storm? This song is more Melodic Power Metal/Pirate Metal, influenced by Alestorm, Ghost, Serious Black, Powerwolf etc.
Single Lullaby, released on 27th of November 2020 was added to two Editorial playlists on Spotify: Epic & Melodic and New Metal Tracks. By sound this song is close to Crematory with some vibes of Mudvayne, TUngsten.
Darkness and Light was released on 12th of March 2021. We
called this song Lullaby because it’s about our duty always to guard dreams of
our beloved ones that seem so fragile and delicate.
Army Romance was released on 7th of May 2021. This song is dedicated to all those who dare to
love, being on the verge of life and death. Those who do not lose the inspiring
power of love amid the brutality of military life. Those who defend their
country and their love.
Jarl's Funeral latest single, out on 30th of June 2021. The song has a powerful intro that really strikes with furious energy.
The combination of hard guitar riffs and drums with the sounds of tambourines
creates an atmosphere of true Viking metal. The sound of this song is close to
Amon Amarth, Korpiklaani, Einherjer, Týr with its own style of Cynik Scald,
which is a unique combination of Melodic Metal / Melodic Death Metal / Gothic
Symphonic Metal and Folk Metal with some vibes of Power Metal.
